UMS Team on the Road for September Show Circuit in OK, TX, WA
The business development team from UMS Banking is excited to see a big September ahead, as we make stops in a few key states for banking association meetings and a financial technology summit.
First up is the Community Bankers Association of Oklahoma’s (CBAO) annual convention, taking place September 11-13 at Oklahoma City’s Skirvin Hilton. The CBAO is a member-driven trade organization open only to community banks owned or charted in the state of Oklahoma. Attendees will explore a diverse set of topics, including interest rate volatility, the economic outlook for the coming years, and current regulatory issues facing community banks. Steve West, Vice President of our Central Region, will be in attendance.
Steve will also head to Galveston, Texas from September 22-24 for the 45th Annual Convention of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT). IBAT’s Annual Convention is a four-day event that takes an in-depth look at key issues impacting the banking industry, specifically the issues related to community banks. The event features general sessions with nationally-known speakers, learning labs, regulator roundtables, and banker-peer resource-sharing sessions.
Back on the West Coast, the dynamic duo of Kristia Poppe, Vice President of Bank Relationships, and James Cantlen, Vice President of our Western Region, will exhibit UMS Banking’s unbeatable combination of customized bank referral programs and leading-edge technology at the Community Bankers of Washington’s (CBW) Western States Community Banking Conference. Running from September 18-20, the CBW event sees the organization joining forces with the California Community Banking Network on a thought-provoking program that visits topics like fintech partnerships for community banks, the future of payments, and cyber breaches. The Western States Community Banking Conference will take place at the Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Washington.
“We are thrilled to have our people all over the country, developing relationships with leaders in community banking and the world of fintech,” said UMS Banking President of Sales and Marketing Jim Harris. “UMS Banking, now powered by the high-tech, high-touch approach of Celero Commerce, stands at the intersection of these two communities, and we know that owners of small and mid-sized businesses deserve the best of what these two groups have to offer.”
Stay tuned for more updates this fall, as the UMS team travels to a town near you.
