The UMS team is on the road to a couple of banking conventions in the coming week, with stops in Texas and Idaho.

On June 23-25, UMS will exhibit at the annual conference of the Illinois Bankers Association. The event will take place in Austin at the JW Marriott Hotel downtown. Steve West, Vice President of UMS Banking’s Central Region, will attend the IBA’s annual conference, showcasing a variety of processing tools that help community banks grow their merchant base profitably and safely.

“It’s always great to be in Texas, especially when we can share information and learn from our community bank partners,” he said. “Our company has a great history with community banks in the Illini State, and we look forward to meeting new people and renewing old ties as well.”

While Steve is in Austin, Kristia Poppe, Vice President of Bank Relationships, heads to beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for the annual convention of a trio of western banking associations: the Idaho Bankers Association, the Nevada Bankers Association, and Oregon Bankers Association. The event will take place June 24-26 at the Coeur d’Alene Resort.  Kristia will be meeting with community bank leaders from the tri-state area, sharing the UMS story of customized partnerships to align with each individual bank’s portfolio needs and customer service model.

“This three-state conference presents us with a great venue for telling our evolving story as a company with so much to offer to both community banks and their merchants,” she explained. “Now that UMS is powered by its relationship with Celero Commerce, we have an even greater ability to help banks and merchants control their destiny, growing quickly and sustainably.”

Both events will offer opportunities for bankers and partners to network, hear from thought leaders and industry veterans about emerging trends in community banking, and earn continuing education credits.
